Sports Betting at abba — Cricket, Football and All Your Favourite Sports in One Place
Before the match or while it is live — on abba's sports betting platform, place bets your way, understand the odds, and explore different markets.
How Sports Betting Works
Sports betting is essentially the process of predicting the outcome of an event and placing a wager on it. On abba's platform, you choose a market for a match or event — such as match winner or total runs — then place a set amount on that outcome.
The betting site sets odds for each outcome based on its probability. If your bet wins, you get back your stake plus profit calculated according to those odds. If it loses, only the staked amount is gone.
To start betting at abba, first log in to your account at abba Login, then open your preferred sports market and make your selection. Betting is purely for entertainment — it is not a reliable source of income.
Popular Betting Markets
Choose from a range of markets on abba Sports Betting — each market has its own variety.
Match Winner
The simplest market — pick which team will win. Example: Team A vs Team B — you place your bet on Team B.
Cricket FootballOver/Under
Decide whether the total goals or runs in a match will be above or below a set number. It does not matter which team plays well or poorly.
Football BasketballHandicap Betting
A virtual advantage is given to the weaker team to level the odds. If Team A has a -1.5 goal handicap, they must win by at least two goals.
Football CricketBoth Teams to Score (BTTS)
The question in this market is whether both teams will score at least one goal each. Particularly popular in football.
FootballFirst Goalscorer / Top Batsman
Which player will score the first goal or make the highest runs in the match — this type of player-focused market tends to offer comparatively higher odds.
Football CricketMulti Bet (Accumulator)
Place bets on multiple matches together — win all of them and the return is much higher. If even one loses, the entire bet is lost.

How to Read Odds
Betting odds are written in three common formats — decimal, fractional, and American. abba's platform generally uses the decimal format, but knowing all three is useful on any site.
Example 1 — Team A to win (stake ৳200)
Decimal 2.25 = Fractional 5/4 = American +125
If the bet wins, you get back ৳450 (৳250 profit + ৳200 original stake). If it loses, only ৳200 is gone.
Example 2 — Favourite Team B (stake ৳200)
Decimal 1.80 = Fractional 4/5 = American -125
American minus odds show how much you need to stake to win ৳100 profit. On a ৳200 stake, the return is ৳360 (৳160 profit).
In decimal format, the number is directly the multiplier for the total return — the higher it is, the greater the considered risk. In fractional format, the numerator is the profit and the denominator is the original stake. All three formats appear regularly in cricket betting.
How Returns Are Calculated in a Multi Bet
Example of a Three-Selection Multi Bet
Say you placed bets on three matches in a row at decimal odds of 1.40, 1.50 and 1.70.
Combined odds = 1.40 × 1.50 × 1.70 = 3.57 (approximately).
On a ৳100 stake, if all win you get back ৳357. But if even one match loses, the entire ৳100 is gone.
Multi bets may offer attractive returns, but the risk is also higher — you need all bets to win together. Enjoy it as part of your entertainment.
Pre-Match vs Live Betting
Pre-Match Betting
- Bets are placed before the match starts
- Odds are comparatively stable
- You can take your time making a decision
- Opportunity to view detailed odds across different markets
- Comparatively easier for new bettors
Live Betting (In-Play)
- Bets can be placed in real time while the match is in progress
- Opportunity to make decisions based on how the match is unfolding
- Odds change rapidly
- Engaging — new markets available at every moment
- Cash Out option is often available
Things to Keep in Mind with Live Betting
During a live match, odds can shift every few seconds. When a team scores a goal or a wicket falls, the market odds are immediately recalculated.
In abba's live betting section, new markets are available after every over during T20 or BPL matches. Even when quick decisions are needed, do not go beyond your set budget.
Betting is always for entertainment — start with a fixed amount and do not place extra bets trying to recover losses.
Practical Tips and Common Mistakes
Set a Fixed Budget
Before each betting session, decide how much you will put in. Stop when that limit is reached — placing extra bets chasing a win is the biggest mistake.
Start by Getting to Know One Market Well
Starting with straightforward markets like match winner or over/under gives you a clear understanding of betting. Try handicap or exotic markets later.
Do Not Let Emotions Drive Decisions
Placing a large bet out of emotion when your favourite team is playing is a common mistake. Sports betting is for entertainment — results cannot be predicted with certainty.
Do Not Overstretch with Multi Bets
Combining 4–5 selections may look like a big return, but the chance of winning all of them drops quickly. Keep it to 2–3 selections.
